For Liam, hockey has never been “just a sport.” It’s been a place to fight, to belong, and to give back. Growing up in a family deeply impacted by cancer, with his mother, cousin Mikey, and grandfather all facing the disease, hockey became more than a game. It was therapy. It was purpose.
🤝 Two Friends, One Mission
Beside him was Justin, a lifelong friend who shared the same passion for the game and the community. While studying at Queen’s University, Justin volunteered with a Cancer Club, helping raise awareness and support for families fighting the same battles Liam’s family knew too well.
